Greetings! I am Felicia Belcher, your Griffin Middle School Technology Teacher
I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a proud product of the Atlanta Public School System. I received my formal education from West Manor Elementary, Jean Childs Young Middle, and Frederick Douglass High School. I went on to attend Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in May 2010. I also attended Kennesaw State University, where I received a Masters Degree in Education majoring in Instructional Technology in 2014. Lastly, I received a Specialist degree in Media and Instructional Technology at the University of West Georgia in 2018!
Professionally, my teaching career began as an elementary school teacher in the Atlanta Public Schools System in 2010 where I taught Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade for 8 years. In 2018 I became an Educational Technology Specialist with Kennesaw State University and I am now embarking on my 10th year in education for the 2019-2020 school year. I've always had a passion to work with youth and their education, especially young ladies.
I am an active member in my community, a loving mom to my son Jorden, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter and Spelman College National Alumni Association.
During the 2019-2020 school year, I will be serving as the Technology Instructor for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. I am excited to serve as a resource and guide to help develop a personalized and authentic learning experience for our 21st century students!
